Taking Easter eggs and other treats to hospitalised children and their siblings

Bringing our much-loved Easter tradition to the Children’s Wards of Oxfordshire, Berkshire and Wiltshire in 2023.

Since 2011, The Swift Group have sent our Easter Bunny to spread some cheer (and chocolate) to hospitalised children and their siblings.

Over the years the initiative has continued to grow, which is due to the outstanding generosity of our customers, local businesses, friends and family.

We make sure that every child member of families who, because of ongoing treatment, will not be enjoying a family Easter at home, is presented with a special egg from our very own Easter Bunny. We hop our way to the Royal Berkshire, John Radcliffe and the Great Western Hospital on the days running up to Easter.

Beyond the gifts and eggs, the appearance of our very own “Easter Bunny” has a magical effect on the faces of patients, families and the very special NHS Workers alike…

It is exciting for us to rejuvenate this fabulous annual tradition, which was sadly affected by the pandemics of 2020 through 2022, and it is pleasure for our team to properly visit and spread some joy again.

We all take for granted the fun of Easter at home with our families - but sadly forget that for many children (and their siblings) this time is missed, due to time spent in hospital receiving treatment

We are privileged to have built long term relations with these Hospitals through our work as Specialist Medical Logisticians - and to be able to use these links to deliver just a few moments of fun and joy - to another wise scary and imposing environment - is something we look forward to every Year!”.
