Every year since 1897, the newspaper has helped to bring some Christmas cheer into the lives of West Berkshire's older residents, through the Over-80s’ Christmas Parcel Fund.

Swift Group works closely with Newbury Weekly News at Christmas time to provide the logistics key to the success of this annual project. There is a growing need for this service in the local community and it is Swift’s privilege to ensure that the stock is collected from donation points and delivered to central sortation and packing locations around the area before its ultimate distribution to the homes in and around West Berkshire.
